Unemployment dropped in Illinois 8.7% in November.
That is the third straight monthly decrease.
Even with that the rate is still higher than the national rate if 7% which was down from 7.3% in November.
The Illinois Department of Employment Security said the private sector added just over 10,000 jobs during the month.
6,100 jobs were added in construction but over 10,000 jobs were cut in manufacturing while another 4,000 were cut by government.
