’s team, was crowned the winner of the fifth season of NBC’s
Tuesday night during a live two-hour finale. She wins a recording contract.
Sixteen-year-old Jacquie Lee , a member of coach Christina Aguilera ’s team, was second.
Will Champlin , whose dad is a former member of Chicago , finished third. Champlin was a member of coach Adam Levine ’s team.
Here's a rundown of some of the highlights from the live finale:
The top 20 artists from Season 5 reunited to sing Outasight ’s “Tonight Is the Night.”
For her “bring-back” song, Jacquie Lee chose former Season 5 contestants Matthew Schuler , Caroline Pennell , James Wolpert and Cole Vosbury to sing Queen ’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Tessanne joined special guest Celine Dion for Celine’s “Love Can Move Mountains.”
Matthew Schuler teamed up with fellow Season 5 contestants, Ray Boudreaux , Preston Pohl , Nic Hawk and Josh Logan for a soulful performance of Bruno Mars ’ “Treasure.”
For his “bring-back” song, Will chose Cole Vosbury, Caroline Pennell, Jonny Gray , and Austin Jenckes to help him sing Darius Rucker ’s hit “Wagonwheel.”
Next up, it was Jacquie joining Paramore for the band’s new single, “Ain’t It Fun.”
Season 5 female contestants: Stephanie Anne Johnson , Grey , Shelbie Z , Kat Robichaud , Amber Nicole and Tamara Chauniece teamed up for Kelly Clarkson ’s “My Life Would Suck Without You.”
Next up, singer-rapper Aloe Blacc , who provides the vocals on Avicii ’s hit, “Wake Me Up,” joined Will for a version of the song.
The final “bring-back” song was from Tessanne, who chose James Wolpert, Preston Pohl, Grey and Olivia Henken to join her in a powerful version of Sam and Dave ’s “Hold On (I’m Comin’).”
The evening also included a performance by Lady Gaga , who sang “Do What U Want” with Christina Aguilera. Celine Dion returned to sing "Incredible," from her new album Loved Me Back to Life . Joining her was Ne-Yo , who co-wrote the song and sings it with her on the album.
OneRepublic , also dropped by to sing "I Lived," from their current album Native . The band’s frontman Ryan Tedder recently joined The Voice as their in-house songwriter and producer and he wrote a song called “Tumblin’ Down” specifically for the newly crowned Voice champ. Tessanne Chin performed the song at the end of the broadcast. It will be her first single.
The Voice returns for its sixth season February 24 with coaches Shakira and Usher taking over for Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green . Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will be back.
