It was a busy evening of Rose-Hulman hoops on Wednesday. The Men’s team traveled to Greencastle, IN to take on DePauw University. The Engineers built a 19 point lead but had to hold off a late Tiger rally to hold on 64-61. Sophomore Jimmy Miller led Rose with a career high 17 points and Senior Julian Strickland added 12 points in the win. The Engineers move to 5-3 on the season and will return home on Saturday to host Manchester.
Kristen Belyea’s career high of 22 points help give the Rose Hulman Women’s Basketball team a 74-67 overtime victory over Anderson. The Engineers battled back from a 10 point halftime deficit to force the extra session. Both teams traded baskets in overtime before the Engineers took control using a 11-0 run. John Prevo’s squad improves to 2-5 overall in 1-1 in the Heartland Conference. They will host Manchester University this Saturday.
