The Vigo County School Board will meet tonight at the administration building on Wabash at 6pm.
On the agenda the board will consider an agreement with Pepsi for a six-year exclusive agreement to provide its products, including juices and flavored water, in schools. In return for limiting choices in the schools, Refreshment Services Pepsi will pay close to $800,000 in fees, commissions and donations.
The board will also consider an oil and gas license with Pioneer Oil. The company would not be drilling under VCSC property, but near it downtown on the ISU campus.
Attorneys say that this will allow the Corporation to receive some money if they do hit oil.
