Another person is sentenced to prison in connection with death of Terre Haute police officer Brent Long.
As part of a plea deal, 25 year old Charles Elkins admitted to resisting law enforcement the day Long was killed in July 2011 and was sentenced to 21⁄2-years in prison.
Three other defendants, Roberta Utterback, Jenny Torres and Jesse Padgett II who are also facing charges in connection with Longs death, will have a court hearing on October 10th.
In June, Heather Elkins was sentenced to prison as part of a plea agreement.
She is now at the Rockville Correctional Facility with a release date of June 14, 2014.
Vigo County Prosecutor Terry Modesitt said Friday that plea negotiations are also under way with the remaining defendants.
