Clay Community Schools are closed today after flooding at one of the elementary schools.
Around 3 AM this morning while performing a normal security check, Brazil Police noticed water coming from under the doors of Forest Park Elementary School.
A water line ruptured in the building was the cause.
About an inch or more of water was found in several hallways, classrooms and the gym.
All schools were closed for the day even though Forest Park was the only school with problems.
The reason that all schools are closed was due to state law.
According to the Department of Education, if one building cancels, the remainder of the schools in the corporation have to be cancelled as well.
If schools do not follow those guide lines there would be fines.
