Former state school superintendent Tony Bennett has sent a letter to the Office of the Inspector General to request a state investigation into the controversial A-F school grading system.
Bennett wants a review of the allegations that the change of the letter grade of an Indianapolis charter school run by a political donor.
Bennett stepped down as Florida’s education commissioner on Aug. 1 due to the allegations of wrong doing.
He denies any wrong doing.
A report of an independent group charged with investigating the tampering allegations is due to issue their report by November 1.
