An Indianapolis doctor is behind bars after being arrested Monday for allegedly over prescribing prescription medication.
Dr. Segun Rasaki was arrested and charged with 24 felonies for allegedly writing prescriptions for painkiller medications without a legitimate purpose and in some cased without a license.
He is also charged with one count of insurance fraud or insurance application fraud.
Authorities say that Rasaki had written more than 29,000 prescriptions for controlled substances to 2,870 patients during 2009 and 2010.
Pharmacists tipped off police.
Bond is set at $200,000.
