An update on an accident in southern Vigo County Tuesday night.
Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a crash on US41 just north of SR246.
Police say that 23 year old Amber Reed of Shelburn was driving her Jeep Cherokee Laredo southbound on US41 at a high rate of speed.
As Reed approached a semi in the slow lane, she veered into the passing lane and struck a red Pontiac in the rear.
Kyle Morris of Jasonville was the driver of the Pontiac.
Reed’s Jeep veered to the right, and rolled over three times.
Joshua Cox of Sullivan was a passenger in Reeds car.
They were both taken to Regional hospital.
Morris and his passenger who was also his father, Mark, refused any treatment.
Reed was treated and release from the hospital and was then taken to the Vigo County Jail and charged with Operating a Vehicle While under the influence of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended learners permit.
