The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a benefit for the daughter of Correctional Officer Curtis Zehner.
One year old Kaylynn is soon to undergo open heart surgery.
Just two days after her birth, doctors diagnosed Kaylynn with a serious condition.
The little girl has a hole in the heart, and thickening of the blood vessel that leads to the main lungs.
If not repaired there will be major problems down the road.
Curt and his wife already have an extensive amount of medical bills, and with this surgery it will increase even more.
The “Have a Heart for Kaylynn” benefit is set to take place between jail and the courthouse on Friday, August 9th, 2013 from 10am-2pm.
A silent auction will take place, plus there will be t-shirts and bracelets that read “Have a Heart for Kaylynn”.
