Usher Raymond V , the eldest of Usher's two sons, was rushed to the intensive care unit at an Atlanta hospital after a serious accident in the singer's pool Monday, according to TMZ .
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Monday when Usher was not home. Sources told TMZ that the five-year-old dove into the pool to retrieve a toy in the pool's drain. His arm is said to have gotten caught in the drain, which prompted the child's aunt to dive in and unsuccessfully attempt to free his hand. The maid also dove in and tried to no avail.
After the women called for help, two men who worked in the home dove in and freed the child, who received CPR immediately and was taken to the hospital, sources added.
By the time the singer arrived home, he was able to accompany his son in the ambulance. Alongside his ex-wife Tameka Raymond , he is currently at the hospital, according to TMZ.
The website reports that doctors ran a series of tests and have concluded that the child will recover.
The scare marks the second accident to impact Usher's family. Last year, Tameka's 11-year-old son from a previous relationship, Kile , passed away from injuries stemming from a jet ski accident.
