The Terre HauteParks and Recreation Department has received more than $1 million in a court settlement.
DuPont compensated the City of Terre Haute for damage caused to ReaPark golf course linked to a DuPont herbicide known as Imprelis. Imprelis is believed to damage pine, spruce and other evergreen trees.
The Parks Department was prepared to join a class-action lawsuit against DuPont but with the settlement that won’t happen.
This case has been going on for over two years.
The DuPont money will be used to remove the dead and damaged trees.
