The Chicago Cubs take game two of their 3-game series with the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday.
Coming into the 9th inning the Cubs had a 2-1 lead until Joey Votto grounded up the middle for a single allowing Shin-Soo Choo to score the tying run.
Carlos Marmol closed the inning escaping a bases-loaded threat.
Then Darwin Barney of the Cubs connected for a homer to left field putting the Cubs up 3-2. Not long after that Dave Seppelt added an RBI singlegiving the Cubs a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the 10th.
Chicago held on for the 4-2 win as Kevin Gregg struck out Joey Votto with two on to get his first save and end the Cubs’ four-game losing streak.
