Justin Bieber and Mark Wahlberg are friends; they even plan to make a movie together, as soon as their schedules align and they've got a script ready to go. But that doesn't mean that Mark isn't willing to dish out some real talk to the younger star about the troubles he's been having lately.
While Justin hasn't technically done anything really scandalous, he's gotten a lot of bad press in recent months for doing things like running around half-naked, showing up late to a concert, lunging at a photographer in London, smuggling a monkey into Germany, allegedly fighting with a neighbor and making what many felt was a tone-deaf comment about Holocaust victim Anne Frank . And that's why Wahlberg says he should think about fading into the background for a while.
Speaking with New York magazine, the actor says of The Bieb, "I think it's best to put down the phone and Twitter and all that stuff, and just be a little more low-key right now, because they're watching every move he makes, everything he says, and less is more." He adds, "Go take a vacation."
Unfortunately, that's not going to happen anytime soon, since Justin is scheduled to be on tour at least until the end of August.
