The Champaign man accused of killing his mother and setting her body on fire was in court Monday.
31-year old Terry Brownlee faces four counts of murder. Authorities found 61-year old Sharon Brownlee when they responded to an apartment Friday morning.
Authorities say that her son Terry, stabbed her in the face and neck, and then set fire to the body. Brownlee is facing first degree murder charges and reportedly has a history of mental illness.
He is being held on $5-million dollars bond and could face 60-years in prison if convicted.
