A Terre Haute man accused of being part of an animal fighting ring was in court yesterday asking that they judge lower his bail.
The judge did reduce George Pikers bail.
Piker faces multiple felony charges for owning roosters than had been altered to fight. He is also facing separate charges for allegedly beating his wife.
In a related matter, the judge in the case did grant the state's request to confiscate the roosters.
The birds will be evaluated by a court appointed team before it is decided what to do with them.
They are currently being housed at the Terre Haute Humane Society.
