Spring is here and it is time to start mowing your yard.
Many cities have regulations stating just how high your grass can grow before they step in.
That can mean fines if you don’t mow as much as you should.
Here in Terre Haute you need to keep your lawn and grass in the tree row below 8 inches.
Meanwhile city officials remind you that Clean Up Terre Haute is set for Saturday, May 4, beginning at 8 a.m.
Volunteers should simply meet at the old Booker T. Washington building, at 13th and Cruft Streets, to register that morning.
The city will provide snacks, water, trash bags and gloves for all volunteers.
