A member of the Koch family that owns Holiday World and other properties in southern Indiana has passed away.
Officials say that 47 year old Philip Koch suffered a hear attack at an Evansville hospital.
He had been at the hospital since April 1st.
Koch was the chief executive officer of HO HO Holdings, LLC, the parent company of not only Lake Rudolph, but also the Santa Claus Christmas Store, Kringle Place Shopping Center and Santa’s Land, LLC.
Koch is survived by his wife and two children.
He was the son of Bill and Pat Koch of Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari fame.
You might remember Will Koch, who led Holiday World during a large expansion, died in 2010 at age 48.
