A high speed chase leads to two crashes and two people being arrested.
It started around 2:30 Saturday morning when police tried to stop Shawn Smith on US36.
Smith didn’t stop and took of, leading police on a chase that topped 100mph.
The chase came to and end when Smith crashed and rolled his car.
Smith’s blood alcohol tested at .15.
While police were arresting Smith, a car driven by Christopher Matthis approached at a high rate of speed, hit a guard rail and then Smiths car.
That crash resulted in a fire and destroyed Smiths car.
Matthis was flown to an Indianapolis hospital with serious head injuries.
