Planting season is coming up in a couple weeks, but state officials think we could be a bit farther away.
A year ago at this time 5% of the corn crop in IL was already in the ground.
Not this year though, due to our cold and wet start to spring soil conditions are just that, too cold and wet.
Most farmers however don’t seem to mind.
After last year’s drought, they’ll take any moisture they can get.
