Illinois State Police officers visited the apartment of a missing Olney, Ill. man Thursday, almost two weeks after the man’s family say they last spoke with him.

Ed Hataway last spoke with family members the weekend of Sunday September 16, but he missed a meeting with his landlord on the 17.

When police arrived at the apartment, Hataway’s truck was parked outside, his slippers were in the parking lot, his apartment unlocked and his cell phone inside.

Police say that they could not comment on the search.
