Indiana State hosted South Dakota State last Saturday at Memorial Stadium in a hard fought Conference matchup. The Sycamores started off slow with a 25 yd field goal at the end of the first half from Tanner Fristchle. Coming into the second half with a 10-3 lead over the Sycamores the Jack Rabbits drove down the field late in the 3rd with Austin Sumner completing a 23 yd pass to Seth Douglas making the score 17-10. The Sycamores then responded moving down the field with Shakir Bell capping the drive with a 2 yd td run with 21 seconds left in the 3rd. With the score now 17-10 in the 4th the Sycamores tried fighting off the Jack Rabbits but just couldn’t find enough. Cam Jones of South Dakota State scored on a 2 yd TD run with 6:18 left in the game. The Sycamores fell to the Jack Rabbits with a final score 24-10.
The Sycamores will head to Southern Illinois to battle the Salukis Sept 29th kickoff @ 7:00pm ET
The Sycamores will be back at Memorial Stadium against Missouri State for Homecoming October 6th kickoff @ 3:05 ET
