A second person sentenced in the kidnapping of a Terre Haute boy back in July, 2011.
Police say that 25 year old Nicholas Runyon, and 29 year old April Bell, told the mother of 4-year-old John Johnson Christian that they were going to take the boy to a birthday party but they never came back.
Bell was sentenced to 15 years in prison earlier this week for her part in the crime.
Runyon was sentenced to 20 years in prison a day later.
He will also face 10 years of supervision and is banned from ever contacting the child.
Runyon’s mother told WTHI TV that her son told police that the boy's mother was abusive and felt the only way to protect him, was by taking him.
Now child services have removed the boy from the mother's custody.

A couple arrested for kidnapping a Terre Haute child make appearances in court to be sentenced.
April Bell and Nicholas Runyon were arrested for kidnapping a 4-year-old from Terre Haute in July of 2011.
Bell was sentenced yesterday to 15 years in prison, for helping Runyon kidnap 4 year old John Johnson Christian, and fleeing to Kentucky before being arrested.
Bell and Runyon originally lied to the child’s mother by saying that they were taking the boy to a birthday party, but never returned.
After a three day search, Police were able to follow Bell’s ATM trail, and found the three of them at a hotel in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Runyon will be sentenced later today.
