One year after a Mattoon man was arrested for driving under the influence, Judge James Glenn put the hammer down so to speak. 40-year-old Tony Osborn was arrested last year after police discovered his vehicle in a field just north of Mattoon. He pleaded guilty this week and Judge Glenn ordered him to pay over $19,000 for the damage he caused while driving through the field. Osborn was also sentenced to two years of court supervision, ordered to pay another $500 fine, and is not allowed to use alcohol.
