Two men are dead after being hit by cars on I-57 Wednesday night. 

A 58-year-old man from Tennessee pulled over after his tire fell off of his car. 

He walked over into the median to retrieve his tire.  He was hit on his way back to his car. 

An 80-year-old from Chicago stopped and drug his body out of the road. 

As he was walking back to his car to call for help, he too was hit. 

The first driver died at the scene, the man from Chicago later died at hospital.
