A local school corporation receives a high honor.

Southwest School Corporation in Sullivan County was the only school system in the valley and one of only 21 school systems state wide to be named to the College Board's third annual Advanced Placement District Honor Role.

Those recognized showed either significant annual growth in overall AP testing or maintained a high percentage of students passing AP exams.
