When Beyonce stepped out in her first post-baby appearance last week, all eyes were on her figure, but they also should have been looking at her hands. Close examination of photos from that night reveal that the new mommy was sporting bright blue nail polish -- a tribute, says her manicurist, to her baby Blue Ivy Carter . The manicurist, Lisa Logan, tells People magazine, "It's clear she was bringing Blue along with her because she doesn’t want to be away from her for a second." Beyonce also sported the blue nail polish when she hit the town a second time last week.
Logan said that when she brought her usual 200 bottles of polish out for Beyonce to choose from, the singer spotted the blue "Baker Street" polish by Nails Inc. and immediately said, "I want this!" She adds, "She didn't even look or blink at the other colors." Logan says motherhood definitely agrees with Beyonce. "When I see her, I'm like 'Girl, you're glowing,'" she says. "She’s so elated. Motherhood is written all over her face. She’s owning it and wearing it well.”
Those who looked at Beyonce's hand that night could also spot her tattoo that reads "IV" -- the Roman numeral for "four," which is Beyonce's special number. She didn't get the tattoo for her daughter, though; she and hubby Jay-Z got the matching ink when they married on 4/4-- April fourth -- 2008. Speculation is that Blue Ivy's middle name means "IV."
