The Indiana Department of Labor has completed their investigation into the stage collapse at The Indiana State Fair last summer and they claim poor planning and an indifference to safety requirements contributed to the deaths of two workers. The investigation focused only on the health and safety of the workers at the fair and though it did not seek to find a cause for the collapse it did cite three organizations, the Indiana State Fair Commission, Local 30 of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, and Mid-America Sound for specific failures that contributed to the tragedy. These organizations will have an opportunity to respond to these allegations in the coming weeks.
