A Vigo County woman was lucky to escape injury Wednesday morning after she lost control of her car and slid into a utility pole which sent power lines crashing down on top of her car. When police arrived at the scene at Sullivan Place and Ryman Drive the woman had remained in her car, which they say was the right thing to do to avoid electrocution. Duke Energy was able to remove the power lines from the vehicle avoiding any injuries.
