A Vigo County Sheriff's deputy was injured while on his way to a Sunday night accident. Police say that a semi slid at struck Deputy Jim Haley’s patrol car.

Haley was on his way to possible vehicle fire on U.S. 41 and S.R. 246.

The officer suffered minor injuries as was treated and released from the hospital.     The driver of the semi was cited for speeding.     Indiana state police are looking into the crash.
