Authorities in northeast Indiana raided a suspected dog-fighting ring and arrested 18 people on misdemeanor charges of attending an animal fighting contest.
The Journal Gazette reported Saturday night Whitley County Sheriff's Department raided a home in Churubusco, which is 15 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.
Authorities said they found a bloody pit bull-type dog in a plywood fighting ring and two other dogs were found in the house, including one that was bleeding.
Authorities say that the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed.
