A follow up to a weekend story about a double fatal accident on I-70.
Police say that 42 year old Michael Sullivan of Franklin crossed into oncoming traffic Sunday morning and hit a car driven by 82 year old Willie Simmons of Sullivan.
Both men were killed.
A passenger in Simmons car, his son, 61 year old Keith Simmons who is also from Sullivan, remains in critical condition at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
The accident happened just before 10 Sunday morning at the 42 mile marker of I-70 in Putnam County.
As a side note, this has been a record setting year for crashed on I-70.
State Police say that there have 536 collisions, and 13 people killed this year in the stretch of road between the state line and Indianapolis, and that close to 30,000 cars travel that route everyday.
