UPDATE:  Indiana State Police now say that Stalling was shot and that it may have been self - inflicted and that this is most likely a suicide.

The death of a Vincennes University student is being investigated as a homicide.

Police were called to an off-campus apartment house on North Second St. around 7:00 p.m. Saturday night.

22 year old Malcom Jamar Stalling, of South Bend, was found unresponsive, and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.

Stalling was Automotive Technology at VU.

Indiana State Police are investigating.

A cause of death has not been released.
