Police in Charleston are investigating attempted child abduction.

Police were called out yesterday a little after 3 to the area around Jefferson School.

They say that there were two occupants in a small blue car, with a dent in the side of the door, who attempted to persuade a 10 year old girl into their vehicle.

The driver was described as an upper/middle age male white, wearing a black shirt and blue shorts.

The passenger was an upper/middle aged white female wearing an orange, long sleeve t-shirt and jeans.
