New federal charges against a former West Terre Haute Police Officer because of the investigation of the former chief.

Federal prosecutors say that Rick Porter had been in possession of a stolen Marlin.30-30 caliber rifle.

The gun was discovered as part of an investigation into allegations that former police Chief Mark Arnold had bought weapons with public funds and sold them.
