An illegal dump for the past several years near 15^th and Washington is about to be cleaned up.

Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett, Code Enforcement and Republic Waste Services are teaming up to get the job done.

Once the trash is gone it will be barricaded and then monitored to make sure it stays clean.

Anyone caught dumping trash could wind up in court and get hit with a $300 fine.
