More on a story where a Terre Haute couple are accused of abusing several adopted children in their care.

Christina Joiner is the biological mother of three children who authorities allege were deprived of food and water and kept in locked, darkened rooms and tied to their beds.

Joiner told the Terre Haute Tribune-Star in an interview that thought she was doing the right thing when she put her two sons and a daughter up for adoption.

Now she isn’t so sure and she is outraged.

39-year-old Larry Russell and 35-year-old Nikki Russell of Terre Haute both face several charges in the case and each is being held on $100,000 cash bond.
