WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) A driver crashed into a Wausau police cruiser and fled on foot. It happened last night around 7pm on Third Avenue near Thomas Street.
Police say the squad car was rear-ended. The driver briefly pulled into a nearby parking lot, and then ran off before officers could catch him. He's still at-large. Police say they're looking for 37-year-old Brandon Ingram.
Police officers say immediately after the crash Ingram has slurred speech and appeared to be drinking. His police record includes 5 prior OWIs.
The officer was not injured, but the squad car had to be towed from the scene.
