TOWN OF RUSSELL, Wis. (WSAU) – A Phelps man is in critical condition today following a weekend motorcycle crash in rural Lincoln County.
Sheriff's deputies say 56-year-old Verne St. Pierre was driving south on County Highway X when his Harley left the road and crashed around 4:15 in the afternoon on Saturday. St. Pierre was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and then airlifted to St. Josephs Hospital for further treatment.
Police say St Pierre was not wearing his helmet at the time of the crash. They also say alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The Town of Russell Fire Department and First Responders also responded to the crash.
