COVERT (WKZO) -- Residents in the three Lakeshore Counties closest to the Nuclear plant in Covert may soon be asked to answer some strange questions. You might be contacted by a research company in the coming weeks, asking you how long your drive to work is and how many vehicles you have.

According to representatives at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant, the Berrien County Department of Emergency Management is behind the survey. It's designed to help the nuclear plants better draft evacuation plans for Berrien, Van Buren, and Allegan Counties, should there ever be a disaster. The survey will not ask for any personal information, and its findings will be combined with Census data to formulate the final emergency plans.
