TERRE HAUTE, IN (WIBQ) -- A crash Tuesday amy have been cause by the use of prescription drugs. Deputy Mike Anderson of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department says Harold Cox Jr. was taken to Union Hospital after the crash, telling officers he had taken more than 80 Xanax pills at work before driving. Cox was reportedly driving off the road into a field, around utility poles and then back onto the road. Detectives with the Terre Haute Police Department tried to make a traffic stop, but Cox didn't stop. He ended up crashing his vehicle into a telephone box near Rio Grande Elementary.
