(Lansing, MI) -- The State of Michigan violated labor law by refusing raises to 15-thousand state workers. According to a judge's ruling yesterday, the Granholm administration was not within its rights to withhold a three percent raise to the non-union workers and supervisors, while the same raise was given to unionized workers. The pay increase would cost the state 45 million dollars. The ruling does not guarantee the pay increase to the workers, but will bolster litigation filed against the state.
