TERRE HAUTE (WIBQ) - A West Terre Haute woman charged with shoplifting and prescription drug fraud charges will be back in court today. Jessie Maesch was arrested July 21st at the east side Wal-mart. Police say she was using a fake prescription and a fake ID to get the drug Xanax. The arrest came after the Sheriff's Department charged her at the south side Wal-mart for shoplifting. In addition; West Terre Haute police and Child Protective Services are investigation the death of Maesch's infant son, Landon, who died on July 15th. Police are awaiting autopsy results on the 7 week old. They say that could take another week. Maesch was in court last week and had bail set at $50,000. Police say the death is being considered suspicious.
