Somebody at Google has a sense of humor. Google Maps Street View is giving fans of "Doctor Who" a glimpse inside the Tardis.
The Tardis is the machine in which the Doctor and his companions travel throughout space and time on the long-running BBC series. It's larger on the inside than it is on the outside. The outside of the Tardis appears as a British police call box, which is helpful in avoiding unwanted attention when its parked on the streets of London.
A search for 'police telephone box london' on Google Maps will yield a number of results. It is the call box numbered 'A' on Earl's Court Road that contains the surprise.
Click HERE for the external street view of the Police Telephone Box. Clicking the double arrow directly in front of the call box will take you inside.
If you prefer, click HERE to go directly to the internal view of the Tardis. Holding the left mouse button and moving the cursor will allow you to scan the full interior of the Tardis.
"Doctor Who" will celebrate it's 50th anniversary on the BBC in November.
