White Sox vs. Twins Series Preview

The Minnesota Twins (30-36) enter tonight’s game with a 1.5 game lead over the last place Chicago White Sox (29-38) in the AL Central.

The three-game set at Target Field features White Sox pitcher Dylan Axelrod (3-4) and Twins pitcher Mike Pelfrey (3-6) in game one tonight. First pitch schedule for 7:10 p.m.

In game two the White Sox will send Chris Sale (5-5) to the mound against Kevin Correia (5-4) for the Twins. First pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m tomorrow.

The final game of the series features a pair of left-handers as John Danks (1-3) pitches for the White Sox against Scott Diamond (4-6) takes to the mound for the Twins. First pitch scheduled for 12:10 p.m on Thursday.

Stat Line: The Twins are 3-3 in their current home stand with a 16-17 overall mark at Target Field.

The White Sox are 1-3 on their current road trip with a 13-24 overall record on the road this year.  

Prediction: Twins take two games from the White Sox and finish the home stand at 5-4.
