I got a chance to go see Ted yesterday and let me tell you, IT IS HILARIOUS!!! I can see how it beat Magic Mike for opening weekend.  

Ted, a story about a boy (Mark Whalberg) who's finally grown up and still hangs out with his teddy bear (voiced by Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane), scored $54.1 Million this weekend. It's biggest competition, the male stripper movie starring Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey Magic Mike, wasn't too far behind. It did $39.2 Million for it's opening weekend. 

I've been to the theater quite a bit this year and Ted is probably the funniest movie I've watched in nearly a year. My roommates went to catch Magic Mike and they said it was awesome too. So, the decision is up to you.
