Me and Kristen grew up in very different households. For example, when Kristen was young her parents would make sure that she had a babysitter before they went anywhere, or that her older brother was there to watch over her. In my house my older siblings weren't around and I can't remember one time that I ever had a babysitter to watch me. 

Her parents finally decided to try and leave her alone when she was 12 years old and she (according to her) freaked out because she was sure something was going to happen! 

As for me, I was being left alone by the time I was 8. Both parents worked so when I came home from school I was on my own for 3 or 4 hours. That's just how I thought it was supposed to be so it never bothered me. 

We were trying to figure out at what age is it ok to leave your kid ahome alone. Does it depend on maturity? Location? Or how old they are?
