First, let me just say that anyone who can compete in the following contest is DISGUSTING! OK...now for the story...

On Friday night, a reptile store in Florida held an eating contest. Not just ANY eating contest, but a BUG eating contest. About 30 people competed to see who could eat the most LIVE COCKROACHES and LIVE WORMS (ewwwwwww GET AWAY!!!) The saddest part is that the Grand Prize was a Python. Just one Python...

Well the winner of this contest Edward Archibold took the prize by eating 30 cockroaches, 100 milipedes and 30 worms. Apparently these didn't sit well in his stomach because he started feeling sick and vomiting up the bugs and collapsed. 

He was rushed to the hospital and declared dead and his official cause of death hasn't been revealed. However, I think we all know what happened. (Bleh!)

Experts say that all those insects are safe to eat UNLESS he had an allergy. All the other contestants are fine and everyone signed a waiver before competing.
