In America, women may hold high-power positions in Silicon Valley, but one Middle Eastern company still thinks females are flustered when it comes to technology. That’s apparently why Eurostar Group has created the ePad Femme, a tablet device designed especially for women.
The tablet has started controversy stateside for being sexist and reinforcing stereotypes, and it’s not hard to see why. It has a default pink background and comes preloaded with a number of supposedly female-friendly apps (think yoga, diet and recipes). We’re not exactly surprised that the company has only been able to sell a few thousand of these things since they came out.
Do you agree with this company? Do you think women are less tech savvy?
