Some parents feel piercing a baby’s ears- and subjecting them to unnecessary pain- is cruel.  

Others argue it’s a tradition in certain cultures to get a baby’s ears pierced.  

Still others claim ear piercing is a decision that should be left to the child once she’s old enough to make it herself.
